A trip to the Hunting Lodge is a very special experience. Wether you go with friends or for a few romantic hours as a couple.

In summer you can admire the flora and fauna on nice hikes. Listen for the whistle of groundhogs announcing their arrival. Bring binoculars and some patience and you will probably be able to see some of the shy animals too.

And not only in summer but also during winter the Hunting Lodge is worth a visit. With the right tourist skiing equipment you can reach this remote spot even when the snow is many metres high.

The Hunting Lodge is about 30 minutes walking from the Postalm. As is the tradition, you must bring your own food along for the trip to the lodge. Good hikers can reach Abtenau village from the lodge by taking the nice forest path.

There is also the option of joining the hunters Hans, Sepp, or Markus when they go up to the lodge.
